John:
I'm John from the CUPBOARD and CUPBOARDglasspipes.com. What is your name and how long have you've been blowing glass?

Kurt:
My name is Kurt B. I've been working glass for about 15 years now. Yeah, that's from Burlington, Vermont.

John:
We bought some of the elixir bottles from you. Tell us a little bit more about the inspiration behind those pipes.

Kurt:
In the past I've done series of pipes before like a [inaudible 00:00:31] that's in the series, a limited series and I wanted to revisit that idea and I started thinking about the cannabis, medical cannabis and old medicines and the medicine bottles and then I came up with the elixir bottle idea basically through some of the medical type things, then smaller pipes like a lot of this smaller pipes now. I came up with that and then I thought that would be a nice piece and I was like, maybe I'll do a series of them. This is the first release of the series, the first 25. I will be making more. I don't know exactly how many yet. This is you know see how it goes kind of thing, but yeah that's basically it, that just kind of I wanted to do a new series and figure this will be a good one.

John:
Do you plan to incorporate different colors into the series?

Kurt:
Yes. Yeah, that's right. The next 25 I'm probably going to do I'm thinking like the green glass, like that old vintage type looking green. Maybe some amber ones, start changing it up as it goes. They are not all going to all be exactly the same but all within the same family.

Kurt:
So yeah these elixir bottles will be found at cupboardglasspipes.com.
