Cupboard:
Hi, this is Cupboard from The Cupboard in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’re here in Las Vegas with Kevin Turner from Glass Distractions as part of The Cupboard’s Artist Insights series. Kevin Turner, how long have you been a glassblower?

Kevin Turner:
I started blowing studio glass in ’94 and starting lampworking in 1996.

Cupboard:
What motivated you to be a lamp maker?

Kevin Turner:
I just started making pendants and stuff, learned all the Contemporary Lampworking 1 in the first edition, but my real motivation behind glass was my friend’s parents were glassblowers, and fascinating.

Cupboard:
Talk about them a little bit. What was an example of the motivation for you from them?

Kevin Turner:
The chaos line. I ran across AK, which is now Krunk. Me and him flipped some tricks in maybe ’97 or ’98. This line stuck with me after working with him.

Cupboard:
Now, The Cupboard would love to help you stay in contact with your fans. Do you use Instagram, Facebook? How do we find you?

Kevin Turner:
We have a website and a Facebook, which is GlassDistractions.com and then Glass Distractions at the Facebook as well.
