Hand-crafted from start to finish by master lamp worker Bandhu Dunham, this mixed-media piece titled "Chtonic Cargo Cult Xorplex Module #1" is the first of Bandhu's limited Cargo Cult series. The functional section is located between the handlebars and is comprised of a rig joint and matching dome, with the left handlebar serving as the mouthpiece. The piece is covered in an assortment of attached shells, biwa pearls, chains, string/twine, beads (ceramic, stone, brass, and wood beads), bones, and more; all of these trinkets were collected by Bandhu himself during his travels around the world. Inspired by the African ritualistic objects as well as the cargo cult natives that emerged in the south Pacific islands during World War II. Truly a one of a kind pipe; a stunning example of modern functional glass art.
