Hitman Glass

Hitman Glass' roots can be traced back to the East coast music festival scene and two childhood friends, Doug Dracup and Erik Weissman. While frequenting events on the music festival circuit, Doug and Erik became enamored with the work of a glass artist and festival vendor named Steve Bates. Steve, Erik, and Doug struck up a friendship, and eventually a business partnership. In 2008, in Boston, Massachusetts, Hitman Glass was founded. Though success has not come easily or without tragedy, Hitman Glass remains one of the nation’s top glass production companies.

Hitman Glass has since grown into one of the most successful glassblowing companies in North America. Their work has won them many awards, but the company is particularly known for their innovative and flamboyant design. The release of their “torch tube” oil rig in 2010, and the Chess Pieces project in 2012 raised the bar and set new standards for what could be done with borosilicate glass.
