Jesse James

Jesse James creates one-of-a-kind art glass pieces of wearable jewelry. The piece starts out as a glass marble pendant and the structure or shape of the glass varies from pendant to pendant. If gemstones (diamonds, emeralds, sapphires) are used, magnifying pressure cups are attached that house the precious little stones. Also, glowing solar cells that store blue or green light are attached to the glass.

Copper or silver wire in various gauges is coiled and wrapped around the glass structure. Crystals and other minerals such as moldavite or tektites are wrapped and attached to the piece before the electroforming begins. The jewelry is customized to include names, initials, or symbols for a personal touch.

The electroforming process can take up to 24 hours to achieve the desired thickness or texture. Now that the wrap is complete, it is then patina’ d to resemble an antique or ancient artifact dug up long ago.
